Pinecrest Preparatory Academy Charter High school students place first in nationwide engineering competition

PPMH Crocs, is the 1st Place winner in the 2021 SECME National Student Engineering Competition Finals, featuring the Art of Engineering!

SOUTHWEST MIAMI-DADE – A team of student engineers from Pinecrest Preparatory Academy Charter High, a public charter school in Southwest Miami-Dade, participated in the annual SECME National Engineering Design Student Competition Finals. On June 11th, the Crocs were named the first-place winners. SECME’s Educational Outreach Manager, Dr. Julaunica Tigner sent the following message to the student team members:

Your team, Crocs, is the 1st Place winner in the 2021 SECME National Student Engineering Competition Finals, featuring the Art of Engineering. As a team member, you are to be commended for role in your team’s outstanding work and accomplishment as both a State or Regional winner and the National winner. The quality of your team’s work is to be commended and, in spite of all the uncertainty in the world this school year, YOU, your teacher and your parent remained focused on your education and we, at the SECME National Office and the entire SECME community applaud you! We are very pleased that SECME is the STEM pre-college program you chose to participate in and we look forward to seeing your work again.
