Engagement review team applauds Pinecrest for their outstanding work

We look forward to receiving our final report in about 30 working days with subsequent conferral of our re-accreditation through June 30, 2027.

As part of our continuous improvement journey, this week Pinecrest Academy, Inc. hosted a Cognia accreditation engagement review team for an external review of the entire Pinecrest school system. Cognia, formerly AdvancED, nationally recognizes districts, school systems and schools that meet rigorous standards focused on productive learning environments, equitable resource allocation that meets the needs of learners, and effective leadership.

Throughout the week, the Cognia review team members interviewed governing board members, school administrators, teachers, support staff, parents, and students. They also reviewed hundreds of documents/policies and protocols to capture an accurate and complete review of the school system.

During the final exit meeting, the engagement review team shared their findings with the leaders of Pinecrest Academy, Inc. The engagement review team spoke very highly of our school system and used terms such as “strong sense of family, community, caring, student-focused, open and reflective, and excellent” to describe Pinecrest.

Participating in an accreditation review process demonstrates to our community our commitment to excellence, our openness to external review and feedback, and our desire to be the best we can be on behalf of the students we serve.
